About Me

Photographer
I've always had a passion for photography. It's another great trait I inherited from my mom. I love being able to give people lasting memories through photographs. I've really taken the time to learn what I need to give you great photos. Check out my website at donnaharrisphotography.com

Stylist
I love being a stylist! I never really thought that I would want to follow in my mother's footsteps but here I am working in the salon and totally loving it!
Growing up, I practically lived at her salon. Since I watched her do hair everyday, I figured it was something anyone could do....until I tried doing it myself! I realized that the skill that my mother had was well earned. I have since gone on to educate others to obtain that skill.

In the salon, I specialize in unique color techniques and formulations. I also enjoy a fun cut and style. I am certified in human hair extensions and continue to keep up with the newest cut, color and trends on a regular basis.

Educator & Cosmetology Instructor
"Any colorist can apply color, but a Color Expert can accurately formulate and apply color."
I heard this once and believe it to be true!

I educated for Goldwell Professional Haircolor for many years. It's the haircolor that I used in Cosmetology School! I had the opportunity to use Goldwell Professional Haircolor from beginning levels to the intermediate; from basic formulation to the corrective color service. I have been priveleged to work with Goldwell's notable platform artists at various events such as the Groupie Gatherings for Goldwell's invitation only events.

I have since switched color lines and now use Aveda color. I am passionate about the science and technology of haircolor and it's action on the hair. It is my desire that every stylist has a full working knowledge of how to expertly give their clients their most coveted haircolor shade.

Along with working in the salon, I also maintain my Cosmetology Instructor's license. The minute I stepped into that school, I knew education was for me. During my pursuit toward my cosmetology license I noticed most students had a hard time grasping the theory of cosmetology. Throughout my own schooling I sailed through my tests but noticed that others were struggling. That's when I realized I could be a huge help to these students and decided to pursue my Instructor's license. I love teaching theory classes (especially on haircolor!). My heart is for those who struggle with the "whys" of cosmetolgy.
